1 Czy głośniki D-500 mogą być używane bez subwoofera?

The D-60 has a higher sensitivity, better power handling, and reaches a higher SPL. The D-500 is a so-called full-range speaker with one midrange/bass driver and two passive radiators covering the low frequencies, allowing a roll off below 50Hz. The D-60 has two midrange/bass drivers without added woofers, rolling off below 80Hz and therefore requiring an extra subwoofer for the complete reproduction of music and movie soundtracks.

It can also be turned 90 degrees and used as a center below the screen or TV, but it doesn’t have the ideal sound radiation and lobing as the D-500 Center. The D-60 can be used as a surround speaker, allowing an equal sound quality and high SPL all around.
#07 Are the D-5 models only for surround and immersive audio?
No, they can be used all around. The best and most enveloping surround sound in a home cinema is achieved when all channels are as similar as possible. When combined with two or more BW-20 woofers, a complete D-5 speaker setup will provide a great surround or immersive audio experience.
#08 Which speaker size should be set in the MP-40 / MP-50 / MP-60 menu?
The D-500 is a so-called full-range speaker which can handle frequencies below 50Hz (-3dB). Depending on the room size and listening distance, the D-500 can be used without a subwoofer, for example left and right of a TV. The recommended speaker setting is XXL. If there is a subwoofer in the system, the subwoofer should handle the LFE signal, while the recommended speaker setting is XL. The best overall performance will be achieved with left and right BW-20 woofers, which handle both the LFE signal as well as the re-directed bass from each D-500. The recommended speaker setting is M.
In speaker EQ must be set to Lyngdorf D-500.
