for DW-1
FAQ
#01 What does DW-1 stand for?
Lyngdorf Audio model name initials describe the product type. For example, BW stands for Boundary Woofer. D stands for the Lyngdorf Discreet series, which are speakers for in-wall and in-ceiling installations. DW is a combination of both; D for being part of the Discreet series, and W for Woofer. 1 means it’s the first DW model and has one digit for one single woofer driver.
#02 Where should the DW-1 be placed?
Lyngdorf Audio recommends boundary woofers, placed in the room corners and floor-standing, which leads to an ideal acoustic room coupling and achieves the best bass performance.
#03 How many DW-1 are recommended?
The best overall bass performance is achieved when the woofers perfectly integrate with the main speakers. Therefore, at least two DW-1 are recommended in a left-woofer / right-woofer setup.
#04 Can the DW-1 be used in home theaters?
The DW-1 can be used in media rooms and multichannel systems, for example in a left-woofer/right-woofer setup. For home theaters, depending on the room size and desired overall volume level, multiple DW-1 or dedicated home cinema woofers such as the Lyngdorf BW-20 are recommended.
