Transparency is the quality Carter returns to throughout the review. Rather than adding its own sonic character, the TDAI-2210 lets the loudspeakers and recordings speak for themselves.

He praises its tight and articulate bass, natural midrange, well-behaved treble and impressive soundstage. Even at lower listening levels, music retains its presence, detail and character – making the TDAI-2210 as rewarding for late-night listening as it is for dedicated music sessions.
RoomPerfect – without losing the character of the speakers
RoomPerfect™ is another highlight. Carter tested the TDAI-2210 with very different loudspeakers and found that RoomPerfect consistently improved their interaction with the room, bringing tighter imaging and better-controlled bass while preserving the speakers’ individual character.
He also praises the ease of setup, describing RoomPerfect as one of the most user-friendly room correction systems he has used.
One box, complete experience
Streaming, amplification, extensive connectivity and RoomPerfect are all brought together in one compact design. Carter particularly highlights the color touchscreen and large volume wheel, which he calls one of the most satisfying physical interfaces he has encountered on an audio component.
By the end of the review, the TDAI-2210 has even made him reconsider his long-standing recommendation of using separate streamer, DAC and amplifier components.
