The Polish online site, stereolife.pl, has made a review of the Lyngdorf FR-2 loudspeaker. The review is in Polish but we have translated the verdict below. At the bottom of the page you can find a link to the full review (in Polish).

The FR-2s are among the most intriguing speakers I’ve tested in recent times. They solve a problem that many audiophiles and music lovers face, reminding us that neither blindly following old conventions nor masking issues with makeshift fixes—like plugging bass-reflex ports and hoping for the best—will lead us to success. Every music and hi-fi enthusiast without a dedicated listening room, who has to balance their passion with everyday life, has so far had to make compromises: find a setup that doesn’t completely ruin the sound but still allows for normal movement around the room. Unfortunately, pushing conventional speakers too close to the wall leads to problems that can’t be hidden by cables or wishful thinking. Wall-mounted speakers, on the other hand, tend to underperform sonically, often need a subwoofer to make up for their shortcomings, and if we’re talking about active models, say goodbye to the idea of upgrading your system with better electronics. In short: you can’t have your cake and eat it too.

Enter Lyngdorf, flipping this whole flawed paradigm on its head. Value your space—or simply don’t have another option but to place your speakers against the wall? Then choose speakers that were actually designed for that. Full-size yet slim cabinets, drivers adapted from in-wall models, smart tuning, multiple installation options—this is it. A solution that doesn’t bend reality or pretend to perform acoustic miracles. Even better, in terms of specs and connectivity, the FR-2s are just like regular hi-fi speakers. So if you’re dreaming of a stereo setup with a modern streamer, a turntable, a tube amp, and silver cables—go for it.

The cherry on top? The price. The last Lyngdorf speakers I tested—Cue-100—cost 92,600 PLN. So, how much for a pair of FR-2s? Sixty thousand? Forty? Nope—just 17,780 PLN. For original, stylish, yet fully audiophile-grade speakers designed and made in Denmark, that’s a steal. Honestly, I hope Lyngdorf has started a new trend here, and that we’ll soon see more speakers like this on the market. I’m not saying all loudspeakers should look and work like the FR-2, but I strongly believe consumers deserve real choices—products that actually fit real-world conditions. Giant floorstanders in open-plan living rooms with panoramic windows, retro-style bookshelf speakers placed on vinyl-filled stands—it all looks fantastic in photos and racks up social media engagement. But when it comes time to buy, sensible customers quickly ask: where would this thing even go? And what would the rest of the household think of it?

With the FR-2s, that problem disappears. And the sound? Don’t worry—Lyngdorf didn’t forget about that either. If you don’t believe me, give them a listen. Just be warned—you might be in for a surprise.
